PADDLE FOR SOREL: A huge success & a great day!

On Saturday, November 19, the Paddle for Sorel (first annual, I do believe... that is until we find the cure!) went forward in Santa Barbara.  It was an amazing success.

Meeting at 9:00 a.m., the group did a paddle from Goleta to Ledbetter in honor of Sorel and to bring awareness to Rett Syndrome.  Donations were made to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation and a great time was had by all.  Following the paddle, an incredible barbecue and buffet was provided to all and a raffle went forward with tons of great goodies for all.  The grand prize winner of a new Patagonia wetsuit was Mike Lionello!  In truth, everybody won.

The paddling community rallied for one of our own.  Even the weather cooperated, holding the storm off until after the event had concluded.  As Sorel's father Chris said:  "We had a great day and karma weather on our side!"
